Chaïm Vischel (he/him) is an artist, a make-up artist and a garment designer based in Paris, France.

Primarily interested in clothing, he works in the fields of sculpture, make-up, drawing and poetry.
Echoing his Ashkenazi background, Chaïm outlines an aesthetic that is often considered "too feminine" and "too much" by using thrifted and then upcycled accessories and ornaments.
Their decorativeness and whimsical use in performative contexts lead him to consider these sculptures as tchotchkes.
With kitschy, colourful and floral motifs, Chaïm calls for the recognition of trinkets’ playfulness, often deemed superficial and useless.
These works deal with a space that is meant to be a body waiting to be dressed, where sculptures become embellishments.
He also works as a make-up artist and art director for various fashion brands and artists, with a gesture of dressing faces and bodies with different materials and intertwining bold colours.
